I have not looked a your html or css, I was responding to the fact that you said you were stopping the "grippers" or "sliders" that allow resizing of each pane. You said we could set pane preferences in our profile.

The top pane contains a thread list. The bottom pane holds either the viewing or editing of a message. I need to resize the height of those two panes on the fly.
