>My first movie on Blu-Ray. It's even better than I remembered. I wish I could write this well just for one day. (Stealing lines from David Bowie). It captures perfectly American high school life in the 1970s.

>The Molly Ringwald character was me in every detail . Even more so in Sixteen Candles. Her birthday and everyone forgot about it.
That movie actually came out in 1985. Having graduated high school in 1984 I also felt hit was spot on. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is till my favorite flick in that genre. Almost Famous was another great movie also written/directed by Cameron Crowe. Interestingly many of the things in Almost Famous were taken from Cameron Crowe's experiences as a YOUNG YOUNG teenager when he was a reporter for Rolling Stone magazine..haha. Despite doing this for R.S. he also graduated high school a year early - then went to California to a high school with the hidden agenda of coming up with a book/movie - which he did..which is where Fast Times at Ridgemont High came from.
