>I think this is also your personal viewpoint on what is Christianity about, but it is not easy to defend since it does

I believe the laborer should be paid. The Bible also teaches, Colossians 3:17, "And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Our central focus must be God. And I Corinthians 10:24, "Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth." Our applied focus, upon God first, is made practical when carried out unto our fellow man.

A laborer is worthy of his pay ... but not more than that.

>If you labour you get a reward, that is the incentive for the person to do the work. If you don't get the reward you get
>a model like in Cuba, where everybody is a doctor, no one wants to work, nobody has money, except the elite who
>makes all the decisions. A perfect model for disaster and not Christian at all.

It comes from a close, personal, ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. It does not come from men or from men's ideas. The enemy (Satan) is here and spiritually influences men to do all manner of things which are contrary to God's will for men's behavior. The Bible teaches, 2 Timothy 2:25-26, "25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."

We look to The Lord's prayer for a model:
"Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen."

He we see God's Will being desired upon the Earth as it is in Heaven. We see daily bread. We see forgiven debts. We see guidance away from temptation, and deliverance from evil. We see an acknowledgement of whose Kingdom it is we serve, the status of that Kingdom, His Power, His Glory, and that forever.

The model God's given us is one of service on Earth as it is in Heaven ... helping people, serving God by serving each other. Matthew 25:34-40:

"34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40 The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' "
