Cesar, John, Others,

I plan on hosting online conferences through the Liberty Software Foundation. I am currently the only one who's signed up to help, so I'll be doing it alone for a while so it will be slow going. In addition, I still have as my top personal interest priority to complete Visual FreePro. After that, and from within that virtual machine platform that will be developed in support of itself, I will then be able to rapidly build other applications (including the facilities necessary to host an online conference). Others will be able to build similar apps for the virtual machine as well.

I think it will work itself out and be a good offering in time (James 4:15).

FWIW, I believe the forwarding of information is absolutely essential to help each other out, and not just those who happen to have the means to be part of that "in crowd" at the big expensive events like SWFox. It's obvious that all developers need to see source code, need to look at examples, they need to have instructional writings and videos to examine. They need that education to learn and grow. And I do not believe these things should be limited to individual groups under any circumstances whatsoever.

It is my belief that all people are equal, and just because person so-and-so has become successful in his/her business, that doesn't mean that the non-successful person so-and-so from some other location isn't just as capable (or even much more so) and has something to offer which might amaze people. I believe all such people, the "great" and "small" alike, that all of them should be given the chance to succeed, to grow, to contribute, to be heard. And in any remaining cases where such large event groups do persist, then I believe (at the very least) that everything given at the event should be made available equally to everyone else free of charge once the event ends.

This would be similar to what happens each year in my home town of Indianapolis, IN. We have the Indy 500 race which is a big event for many people. The local TV stations do not broadcast the race while the race itself is still running. It has always been shown to us later on that same day (at 8pm this year, and in prior years it's been shown at times like 2am).

Something similar for big events like SWFox should, in my opinion, be offered, and unquestionably so. To do otherwise only perpetuates an unnecessary division between people, and this is so absolutely unnecessary in the digital age of YouTube and instant file transfers. We have the technology to let all people everywhere grow up together.

I truly do believe that if there are big events which do not offer up everything they offer to the attendees, that they are causing harm and division, and for no valid reason whatsoever in the digital age.

People are free to do what they choose. As for "me and my house" (the Liberty Software Foundation), we will reach out to everybody equally as much as possible, without divisions, without barriers, without any imposed hindrances when the technology is otherwise free, available, and open to prevent such hindrances from existing.
