>Oh...that's pretty. I've got a 1911 Colt Combat that I love and have had many, MANY offers for trades or sales. And I just keep saying 'No thanks - I like it too much.'

My 1911 was originally my grandfathers service pistol in WWI. Handed down the line to me. I've had it about 30 years. I've pretty much matched it out aside from the original frame and slide. The original barrel, grips, sights, and trigger are all in a box in my safe. I've gotten so used to it I really don't even think about getting another handgun (aside from a Desert Eagle 44 maybe). I'm probably never going to carry one concealed - I'll just strap on the 45 very visibly if I ever need to :)

Too bad about IAI - they knew how to design weapons!

>>My wife, oldest son, and I just got our KS CCH permits (after a full 90 days waiting on paperwork processing). Took my wife out to a local gun club (and dealer) and picked up a Kimber Ultra Carry II 45ACP. She tried a bunch of smaller 9mm and .40 pistols, but the Kimber was amazingly accurate and had lower recoil than my original model 1911. They let us try about a dozen pistols at the indoor range - when she fired the Kimber, she just walked back to the counter and said "sold!".
