Adding a free table to a DBC will change it's status to a VFP table since the FOX2X header has no room to accomodate the DBC name, null support, etc. etc.

You are correct. I was thinking of copy to with out the 2xx. In which case you will not be able to use in 2.6. But why I was thinking that is currently beyond me. Thanks for correcting me, and sorry for any confusion.
