If not, then please note that this is a side-effect of Microsoft and their proprietary software model, that they purposefully break compatibility between versions to keep people moving along with them, rather than sticking with an old stand by that is a real workhorse. I still use VS2008, for example, not even 2010, because it's lighter weight and very stable.
Unfortunately I could not find anywhere to download VS 2008 Express, not even VS 2010 Express. MS seems to always redirect you to VS 2012 or VS 2013.
