Inferior is a matter of opinion.
Don't complain to me about the verbage. I was asked why Microsoft went with Metro design in Windows 8 and I answered it using their terminology.
>Actually, even "device" is wrong. Most of the devices that you mention won't run these products. Macs are desktops and laptops. Desktops running Windows 7 or XP won't, etc., etc.
>
>"some versions of some desktops, laptops, tablets phones , game consoles that run some versions of some Microsoft products" might be more accurate and, of course, completely meaningless because no one in his right mind will buy the required MS version of all those devices.
>
>This is a feeble attempt by MS to persuade people to use inferior products because of the single platform Kool Aid, which, when you look closely at it, as I did, is a fiction.
>IBM tried that several times and it bombed.
