>>After the recent NSA revelations about the large corporations giving more or less open-ended back-door access to our data, including meta data related to access, times of access, locations of access, etc., I have switched to a secure email system in Switzerland called MyKolab (mykolab.com).

>My concern with such services is that they're surely a prime target for the NSA. Plus you're dependent upon them to keep your stuff safe. Look at what happened recently with hushmail.com http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2007/11/encrypted-e-mai/ http://www.cybercrimereview.com/2012/11/hushmail-provides-unencrypted-e-mails.html I think if you want secure email then something like PGP is your best bet.

I am beginning to use encryption on more and more things. I have a Java based chat client that uses custom encryption. I will release its source code when complete. The libsf.org will host public visibility, otherwise it's entirely point to point(s).

GPG has a built-in email interface, as well as a clipboard converter. Very handy. Ultimately I will write my own anyway for Visual FreePro.
