Yep, Apple has more than double Android's app store revenue.

Yes, roughly 2.3 to 2.6 times, depending on which indexed revenue chart you read.

However, Android has 2 advantages going forward: first, sheer quantity of devices. Play Store is expected to double revenue this year to 6.8B and that's typically conservative when it comes to Android predictions.

We'll just have to "agree to disagree" that Android's predictions are conservative. Let's wait until early next year to see if that 6.8B was in the ballpark.

No question, Android is ubiquitous. So are the number of WalMarts in the world. :)

File this under "anecdotal", but my personal view is that there's a higher % of "marginal quality" Android apps. Sometimes I think Android apps are like FPW 2.6 apps and iOS apps are more like true Windows apps. Here's one of many personal examples: I have a jazz radio app on my android phone that doesn't allow me to easily capture/save the artist/track name. The iOS version on my iPad is much better.

Now, how do you measure that? You can't. In another month, I will have owned 3 Android phones and 1 Apple phone - but I'm moving away from Android. Sure, some people are going in the opposite direction for some of those really cool Samsung phones. But in the long run, iOS is (IMO) just simply a better environment.
