>>>>I am attempting to install SQL Server 2008 (not R2) Development Edition (that I purchased from MS a couple of years ago) on a new Windows 7 Professional. As soon as the SETUP starts I get the message that "This program has known compatibility issues" When I select to Check for solution online, none is found. What do you think is the matter with SQL Server 2008 Dev (which I run on another Windows 7 Prof)?

Since I don't know what is "replicate server", I probably won't <g>. So I hear in your question that I should not check this option, right?
And what about Anaylysis Services and Reporting Services? If try in the future to learn these, will I be able to add them if I not check them now?
