A tick for one of your predictions: Apple has announced the 5C phone which is the lower-priced model you predicted. It has a 4" retina screen, A6 chip, 16 or 32G. But "Lower" priced is relative. $550 without a contract, and $100 or $200 with a contract. Interestingly the 5 is discontinued while the 4S is sticking around as the "free" contract option.
At the same time they announced their premium 5S that sports a fingerprint reader and an A7 chip that is said to be twice as fast as the A6.
Merc A-class vs S63 perhaps? ;-)
Apple also now predicts that iOS7 will become the most popular mobile OS in the world. And investors are already grizzling that the 5C is too expensive, not what they were expecting. Perhaps they'll feel better when they see that the margins on the 5C are high, translating to greater earnings if it takes off.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
