FWIW, around here, HS football mostly isn't played on Yom Kippur (or Christmas, of course, since HS football season is long over by then). When Yom Kippur lands Friday night/Saturday, most of the schools around here play Thursday night. This year, apparently, ours played Saturday night after the holiday.

And my original point still stands. No one would schedule SQL Saturday or CodeCamp on Christmas.
