yeah yeah yeah I know - American dream of living with head in sand. Like I said I watched it for over an hour yesterday & I was quite impressed. First - they actually talked about news and did these things called "journalism" and "reporting facts" - something that seems to of become more of a rare novelty with the USA news casts.
Just take a look at the recent fiasco with the navy yard mass shooting - for hours and hours they report their "speculation" and report a bunch of crap that turns out to be horrifically incorrect. You got a news caster saying stupid crap like "he was wearing a black shirt.. Can you tell us what kind of conclusions we can draw from that?" -- like WTF is that man? Then all the reporters start saying things like "we are just speculating here..so we could be completely wrong..." -- well WTF is that? Then DUH do not report it! We just went though this a couple of months ago with the Boston bombings. ...they did the same stupid crap. And what did they learn from that? Well CNN president says that after the Boston bombing insanely poor reporting - they're viewer count went UP! So now this means that the best way for them to get better ratings is to report incorrect news. Guess what - I'm not watching it. Now I find one that is good and suddenly all the feeds are dead in USA and satellite signals are scrambled.
On the bright side I have found one that works - FYI - I have 4 ad-blockers and ghostery installed so I'm ok to goto this website - but you may not be! Just a warning I dunno if it's a safe site for most or not... http://www.zahistations.net/watch-al-jazeera-english-live
