>Well, first, I can't afford to buy a framework. I can't even get them to buy a help authoring program. Second, I don't like having a lot of someone else's code in my program. I want to know what everything in there does.

1. Codebook is free.
2. I learn more reading a pros code than hacking away some times. Of course, I have learned hacing too. But, there are techniques and methods, and OOP ways to do things, that you wouldn't think of yourself, which is why you read books, forums, and talk to other developers. Well, read others code just adds to that. As I said, looking at the code and using the framework can be mutually exclusive.
>Maybe if I go independent I might get one. But it's not really worth it to me to invest in and learn a framework for one app.

Well, I don't know your app... but, my guess is you wrote alot of code to do alot of things that you would not have had to write with a good framework.
But, as you say, with your first ap, you might not have saved time.. but, your second ap... va voom!
