>>Well, first, I can't afford to buy a framework. I can't even get them to buy a help authoring program. Second, I don't like having a lot of someone else's code in my program. I want to know what everything in there does.

Really? Where do you get it from?

>2. I learn more reading a pros code than hacking away some times. Of course, I have learned hacing too. But, there are techniques and methods, and OOP ways to do things, that you wouldn't think of yourself, which is why you read books, forums, and talk to other developers. Well, read others code just adds to that. As I said, looking at the code and using the framework can be mutually exclusive.

I love looking at other people's code. I always learn something.

>Well, I don't know your app... but, my guess is you wrote alot of code to do alot of things that you would not have had to write with a good framework.

I don't really have or need much of a framework. I think I have 3 public variables. I suppose those could be put in an app object, but why bother for 3 variables. I don't know much about frameworks, so maybe I'm missing something good, but I haven't needed one yet.

>But, as you say, with your first ap, you might not have saved time.. but, your second ap... va voom!

The thing is that we have one app and only one app. That's it. I won't be writing a second app unless I work elsewhere.

>Anyway... as I said, this is the great thing about the US, you can choose your wine.

Or choose not to drink... :)
