GS is not an Obama issue.

I'm no longer very interested in the website debacle. We both know that it will be fixed and the opportunities to scream will die away. Meantime we're coming up to the appointment of the next Chair of the Federal Reserve. That person has huge power to rein in inappropriate practices, including purchases of commodities by good old GS. There they are again, sucking unnatural rewards from consumers to line their own pockets in exchange for nothing that anybody else can use. A market is supposed to involve exchange of value, not one party undertaking noncommercial activities whose only purpose is to drive up prices for people who actually need the goods. You're probably already aware, but check out the aluminium market where GS's contango manipulation drives up prices for consumers all over the world by creating uncertainty in the market.
