Available information was that 4 bids were received. If you have more info (not including obviously partisan slaps) to justify alternative interpretations I'll be happy to read it.


There were four, but only one evaluated. The "standard" open bid process was not done. As I stated in my last post, CGI was given the contract because of ID/IQ status established back around 2007, which allows the govt to essentially fast-track the process without the full procurement and evaluation steps.

And take this for what it's worth....CGI owns SOS, which built the PRISM app that's tied to the NSA "spying" issues (which Snowden reported, and is basically now running from)

You don't need to belong to one party or another (and I don't) to realize that many Americans have grave concerns right now, at a time when the related parties who will take part in this law (like the IRS) have been getting involved in politics. The recent news that IRS officials wanted to offer legal advice to the administration over religious groups that sued the administration over the contraception mandate (and then shared confidential information with the White House about members of these groups) should send chills up the spines of every American citizen.
