UI has always been troubling for me. I give it my best shot but I suspect I am like many developers in not being good at it. Ideally every software project would have the budget to hire an actual graphic designer and leave us to the nuts and bolts.
>UI questions carry for me some danger of analysis paralysis as well. My strategy is to firmly try to pass such questions early on to the customer. Similar with devices: design a loosely coupled approach that you can tear apart and set together in another structure using small and big blocks as late time device and design change wishes are part of the game - at least with my brand of customers.
