Actually, there are some shadowy areas there too.

1- David Wildstein one of the lead bridgegaters who took the 5th repeatedly yesterday is a long time political friend of CC.
He ran an anonymous political blog while CC was the US Attorney and his blog disclosed information that, in retrospect, could only have come from the US Attorney's office. The connection was never proven but the smell lingers.


2. Do you recall the US Attorney flap with Alberto Gonzales and Karl Rove, where US Attorneys were being appointed because of their repub political connections?
Gonzales ultimately resigned over that.
Guess who was involved in that?
