2 things spring to mind:
virusinfected/p0wned machine having the access
email adress / pwd combo have been transferred unencrypted and syphoned
check your machines during the night with a bootable linux virus check (over here c't offers one livedisk each year with current signatures DL)
will take LOOOONG if all partioned data are checked with all signatures.. One reason to go for unix like partioning schemes...
a cracked WLAN might have eased such things via MIM-attack so change pwd there ASAP
