Good question, Mike, but it's not the only possibility.
I can be satisfied with my situation but still want change.
It's exactly because I like where I am that I want other people who are not there to have a reasonable chance to get there.
My motives are not entirely eleemosynary (I love that word.)
Check out the history of some modern revolutions - especially the Russian and Chinese.
Tens of millions of people died because the proletariat's anger at the .1% (the circles of the Czar and the Emperor) was indiscriminate.
Not a good outcome.
It's not certain, but if the proletariat had had a better shot, things might have been different - maybe not for the ruling class, but for the rest of them.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
