In my usage, I was responding to your response indicating that it's too difficult, that it's an issue, and so on. I would think a PhD like Tamar would be able to figure something out. After all the technology is possible ... and if the high-end PhD type folk cannot do it ... who can? :-)


I said it "can" be difficult. It's not a matter of emphasizing college degrees - it's a matter of knowing how user groups run :)

I know several people who run user groups and I know the challenges involved. The first responsibility of a user group leader is usually towards the primary attendees at the location. And as I said, the technology isn't always available/accessible at that time/location. I'm not trying to be overbearing here, but I've got 10 years of experience in working actively with community events and I know the big challenges involved in streaming/broadcasting events. Again, that's why I try to re-record some of my top sessions because I know it's often a better way.
