>I am going to need a new SSD for my laptop. There are quite some price differences when it comes to SATA II or SATA III, and also depending on the brand etc. What I am looking for is fast and reliable and long living. But does it make sense to spend more money or are they all basically the same in the end?

If you have the bucks, I'd go for a samsung. they're amongst the fasted and most reliable drives.

- I'd pick the samsung 840 Pro 256 GB
- cheaper option would be saqmsung EVO 256 GB, but also has less write cycles.

I've got a laptop with a samsung 128 GB in my laptop, one 830 and two 840's here. They are all fantastic drives. I promised myself never to buy a machine without a SDD in there. It makes such a huge difference !!
