>>I am going to need a new SSD for my laptop. There are quite some price differences when it comes to SATA II or SATA III, and also depending on the brand etc. What I am looking for is fast and reliable and long living. But does it make sense to spend more money or are they all basically the same in the end?

>I've got a laptop with a samsung 128 GB in my laptop, one 830 and two 840's here. They are all fantastic drives. I promised myself never to buy a machine without a SDD in there. It makes such a huge difference !!
I have the 840 PRO as well and it is fantastic.
I have a Crucial SSD as my 2nd laptop drive (my laptop has support for 2 internal drives). Crucial is certainly good if some is watching every penny. But yeah, if one can afford it, the Samsung is top of the line.
