Actually, there are some serious problems right here, Mike.
I'm a member of a small group of war veterans here in Hamilton, NJ whose only purpose is to raise money to help veterans here who have fallen on hard times.
The VA gives us names of particularly needy vets or their widows and when we raise enough money we give some families debit cards from local banks.
When we visit these families to present the cards it's sobering to see how the price of a round of golf at Pebble Beach or a seat at the NY Philharmonic can make the difference between having heat for a month or not for one of these families.
