>It's a labyrinth, I can tell you that. Rick has already acknowledged that Thunderbird stores emails in one file per folder, not one file per email. Personally I agree with Tamar that it would be unwieldy to have that many files on disk.

I have downloaded the add ons but the instructions say open the tools menu on Thunderbird but I don't have a tools menu any idea how I access it?
