How do you know? We do not know the genes associated to sexual orientation (yet). Anyways, a gene defect can occur spontaneously, with no family history. So why would this be different?

Rubbish, you cannot be save from homosexual orientation. The most you can do is suppress your feelings and stop practising homosexuality. If you are born as homosexual, you will be homosexual for the rest of your life, irregarless what you have been told by other religious zealots.

Your definition of truth is so different than mine. truth cannot be made up by an individual. The truth is in understanding the world arround you by science and science alone. There is no, absolutely no place for religion when it comes to truth.
