This is incorrect, and is the lie told us by the enemy. There is another aspect to our existence which we are denied until we are willing to seek the truth diligently, which is the spiritual aspect, and the Truth we must seek is the real truth about the nature of the questions God places upon our spirit at some point: "Who am I?" "Why am I here?" "What is my purpose?" For those questions there is only one answer that is the truth: we were created to serve God and bring honor and glory to His name, and by His very nature of Giving, of being Life, and being Growth, He also brings honor and glory unto us.

We created to be incredible beings that shine like the stars, Walter. The enemy has us trapped up here in the flesh, consumed by ideas which are carnal, earthly, with no life in them. Only God leads us to real life, that is everlasting life, life eternal with Him in the hereafter.

Religion is a misnomer, and a tool used by the enemy to trap those who do not seek the truth into a place whereby they can surround themselves with comfortable thoughts of justification for their preconceived ideas that "religion is harmful or bad." The truth is this: It is not about religion, it is about a relationship. Jesus Christ is alive. He is not a list of rules on a book. He is spirit, made flesh for us here upon this Earth, and He is in Heaven right now awaiting the day of His return.

It is not about religion ... it is about Jesus, and His Holy Spirit. When He quickens our bodies with His Holy Spirit, it gives us real life, eternal life, a down payment on what's coming in the hereafter. Jesus is not "words on a page" or "a list of rules to follow." He is alive, and He guides us continually in our lives if we'll let Him.

It is only us, ourselves, our pride, that keeps us separated from God. God calls out to every man, desiring to be with Him forever in eternity, without exception. But so very few will hear Him, let alone answer Him.

Be one of those who hears Him, and answers Him, Walter. Do not let the evil enemy, Satan, trick you with clever arguments into believing that all we have is what we can see, touch, hear, taste, and smell. There is more, and I testify, and others like me testify, that there is the spirit, and that God's Holy Spirit is the only spirit which leads us rightly, and He desires with great passion and vehemence to be the largest part of our lives, our "all in all." He is more than sufficient for this task, as He is the author, creator, and maintainer of the entire universe.

The Bible says it this way:

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

There is so much more, Walter. Do not limit yourself. Seek the truth and you will find it. That is a promise from God, not me (Matthew 7:7-8 - KJV - "7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.")
