>>>Here is a recent example of McGovern's view of the people and of national unity—as reported by The New York Times (October 21, 1972). McGovern stated: "Let's face it. This election is more than a contest between George McGovern and Richard Nixon. It is a fundamental struggle between the little people of America and the big rich of America, between the average working man or woman and a powerful elite." >Rand didn't talk that way. She was probably one of the strongest supporters for bolstering the middle class. But she also felt the rich did not need to apologize for their success. Anyone who has actually read Ayn Rand and is familiar with her speeches knows she never gave a "let them eat cake" message.

I meant the husband, based on what he said there.

I agree the rich should not need to apologize for their success. Just as long as they don't think it makes them better or more entitled than the less successful.
