>Besides saving a ton of money on food, I've lost 20% of my weight and can walk 18 holes without huffing and puffing as I used to. (the golf is still ugly at times, but I'm taking one thing at a time!)

Was there ever a need for junk food?
IMO, junk food doesn't exist. There's food, and there's junk.
My diet excludes most of the processed food - very little sugar, almost no oils (except palm and olive), no margarine at all, no industrial bread (including buns and such) - homemade only, no plastic tomatoes (I can wait until august for the real stuff), nothing with molasses (aka fructose high). OTOH, there's lots of butter, yogurt, cheeses (not the skimmed approximations you got there, but real fat cheeses), pork, lard, sausage without emulsifiers (the few kinds still sold), ham (not watered down, the real stuff). As much exercise as practicable - and that's not exercise for its own sake, but rather work around the garden, walking to the grocery or pub. I also plan to revamp my bike - we just found the raised handlebars, which should solve the arm and shoulder fatigue. Field test on wife's bike today, my bike is next.
