Any homeowner can do that.
The bill did not forgive the debt. It just gave these kids the same privileges that most commercial borrowers have.
There's a good case to be made for getting the government out of the business of subsidizing or facilitating student loans and I would support that, but these kids have these loans and should be treated fairly.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
