Every case I can recall, the problem was fixed simply by restarting the computer. The worst thing someone could do in that state would be to continue to work, or install software or Windows updates.
I have restarted about 40 times since then. So, it might related but with a slight difference I guess.
My profile might be corrupted. However, other than bouncing off to D: drive all the settings, all the rest is ok.
