>>>Intended for Mr. Nick Hanauer :)

>Not sure of your meaning. You mean he'll cry a river when the moment comes?
Not quite. But if Ayn Rand were alive today and the moment did indeed come, she'd look at Hanauer and say what she often said, "Brother, you asked for it!!!"
When those on the political left talk about so-called wealth inequality, I grind my teeth.
But when I see the wealthy apologize and try to promote the flawed idea that wealth is static and that ultimately one man's wealth takes away wealth from others, it's just comical. To the degree that confession is good for the soul, maybe Hanauer felt better (or at least guilt-free) after publishing that essay.
It reminds me of Ayn Rand's great observation about window-dressing capitalists - not only would some capitalists sell the rope (as Marx predicted), they'd also abandon the entire realm of ideas out of pure guilt. All that was missing from Hanauer's essay was, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful". :)
The line in that essay that raising the min. wage to $15 an hour would lower the need for govt assistance was just priceless.
