Erik,

Your probably right about a re-install being the next option. I've turned off all TSR programs and all other running programs but that doesn't help. I've even re-built the project after changes and that didn't help. The only thing that seems to work is to quit VFP6 and then restart it again and then run the application. What could possibly be cleared up or ititiated in a restart of VFP that would have been changed by modifying a Method in a Form? This type of thing just drives me crazy. Let me know if anything else comes to mind. In the meantime I'll try the re-installation and hope that doesn't open up any other can of worms.

Thanks again,

Ed

>>When I make any changes to a FORM in my application, if I then run the app, VFP6 will sometimes freeze and sometimes not. The keyboard will freeze, mouse, and even the clock. The harddrive, however, seems to be running. The HD light is going on and off intermittently. I can never see any signs of writting so I assume that it is reading. I have let the computer stay frozen for up to 15 min. with the HD doing it's thing but nothing ever happens so I eventually have to turn the computer off and re-start it.

>>The changes that I make are not in any one particular form nor are they necessarily major changes. It can be something so simple as adding a comment line. The freezes to be random, occuring about 60-70% of the time. The freezes also occure at random places in my app's startup process. I have tried to eliminate as much of the startup processes as possible only to have it then start freezing after making a menu choice.

I have packed the project and done everything else I can think of but I still have to quit VFP in order to run my app after changes or run the risk of having to go through a complete re-boot.
