>I will not bore you with chapter and verse but I love this show. As is so often the case, I am late to the party. It's in about its 5th or 6th season. I have had season 1 on DVD kicking around for a long time, bought for a song in response to a critical rave. At the moment I am laid up with a bum ankle so have had a great opportunity to catch up on unwatched DVDs and unread books. "Nurse Jackie" is the one that has jumped out at me. The star and focus is Edie Falco as Jackie, an ER nurse. She proves her acting chops because Jackie could not be much more different from Carmela Soprano. The other characters are equally well imagined and depicted. My favorite will be an easy guess for anyone who knows me at all, LOL.

I watched the first season several years ago, then stopped watching it (no specific reason). I hadn't seen it in years, and then last night saw the season finale (where she was trying to fly away and stopped to help a crash victim, and then got caught by the cops). The last scene was pretty predictable, I noticed she didn't zip her bag back up and I figured the pills would come flying out.

The show is one of those where I definitely don't like any character (including hers) but I do find it interesting to watch. I might go back and watch some of the episodes I missed.

In other news, I nearly died tonight - from stuffing myself. Overdoses on ribs. Between all the BBQ sauce and ribs I have a blood sugar level and cholesterol level that would kill 10 horses. But oh man, were they good......there is no dinner better than a great rack of baby-backs.
