I think Canadians get even lower tuition rate. My daughter was accepted by McGill we all chose a different University for her.

>>AFAIK, it's the best school in the US that offers academic scholarships. Most of the comparable schools have only need-based aid these days. The academic money is why several of our young friends chose it.

>My daughters were accepted pretty much in every university where they applied; including Ivy league. One of the things we saw when visiting many campuses, that really turned us off, was anti-Israeli posters (bordering on anti-Semitic) all over the dorms and campus buildings. Plus the liberal propaganda. It was not our idea of higher education. Speaking about money, my older daughter was offered Full merit scholarship at Boston University (called Trustees Scholarship) and we turned it down. So money is important but not everything.

Agreed on the money. We were fortunate enough to have been able to set aside the money so that our sons could decide based solely on which school felt right.

Mine both got into their first choice schools early, so never did the full round of applications.
