These hardware analogies are REALLY stretching things.

I wouldn't exactly call it transistor technology. Some .NET courses still actively cover them as part of the curriculum. They are still covered in how-to blog posts here in 2014.

But anyway, don't knock transistor technology - without it, cell phones and other technologies might have been very different (if they would have even existed)

And actually, I recall a post a few years ago....which was also a few years AFTER you thought they'd be irrelevant, where you had to acknowledge a certain PA crew member was correct about their relevance. :)
