Not an anecdote - those are facts.

The exchange idea is puzzling.
There are 2 ideas I just can't quite understand, maybe you can explain it to me.
1. I am middle class, so.. I am supposed to get subsidies? Who pays for that?
2. Having a government bureaucracy between me and the insurance company somehow makes healthcare more efficient or cheaper somehow?
I am confused - please help.
