I just ran into this super-slow speed in 90 mode... The report cursor has about 700 rows, with 4 groups in a 8-1/2" X 11" Landscape oriented report. The report is 15 pages long. It has has 9 textboxes in the detail band that each use the Dynamics tab of the Field Properties where I have 3 conditions setup to determine the color of the text (black (default), then 1 for red, 1 for blue, 1 for for orange.)

The report takes 40 SECONDS to render in 90 mode (where it uses color), while in 80 mode it appears instantly (but it is all black-and-white!!

As we say here in Alabama, Darnit !! The color is really helpful, but the speed is horrible. No one expects to wait 40 seconds for a report to render.
