>>Over the last year I've asked 3 different pediatricians at the practice where we take our daughter, on what they think of ACA. They hate ACA and want to see it gutted. They also told me that every physician friend they have also hates the law.

>>Interesting. I have seen my share of physicians over the past year, and they all have the same reaction. They say that the amount of paperwork they have to do has nearly tripled, leaving them less time to deal with their patients. FWIW, my dentist also hates the law.

An MD's negative opinion about ACA - when one of the avowed purposes (successful or not) of ACA is to cut costs (Fraud by MD's is a huge part of the cost) is hardly a man-bites-dog story.

In my mind and in those of many of my friends (people my age tend to see MD's a lot) MD's in general are fast approaching the same level of regard that lawyers earned a few decades ago.
Their relationship with big pharma is a national disgrace. It's gotten to the point that we grill the MD's before accepting a prescription and even then we throw most of them away.
Probably the most over-prescribed procedure for seniors is the colonoscopy. GI MD's here run colonoscopy mills that churn out tens of thousands of dollars per day- all paid for by Medicare, with large referral fees to the referring MD's.
My wife was dying in a nursing home and one of those thieves had the nerve to tell me that she needed a colonoscopy.
Ultra-sound tests are another scam they try to lay on us as often as they can.
One thief here is sending his kids to Ivy League schools with money he earns by clipping senior's toenails and billing Medicare for it.

As with lawyers, there are exceptional MD's who deserve respect. But they are harder and harder to find.

So, if you'll excuse me I really don't give a damn what most MD's think about ACA or about much of anything else.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
