Not only did they sign on, but (as I just said to Dorris), even Jay Carney acknowledged what had been reported many times - that the idea originated in the White House.

I'll give Obama credit for a lie that was 100 times more brilliant than the "you can keep your plan" B.S. Sequestration contributed to reducing deficits (which he took credit for), and DHS used sequestration as a way of releasing illegal immigrants with criminal records and then blaming it on draconian Republican budget cuts. The Rs don't do themselves any favors for their conduct, but the DNC has a great social networking scheme going of blaming the Rs for every bad thing that happens in Washington.

Have to admit, I agree with your assessment, part of the VA problem is certainly the sheer volume.
