Printed documentation with the software is a thing of the past with MS :-)
The Help system is decent and includes the manuals online, but if you want the printed versions, you have to buy them through MS Press.
You may want to consider getting The Hackers Guide to Visual FoxPro 6.0 as an alternative to the Language Guide, though, but I don't know if it's out yet.
>NNS is finally going to upgrade from vfp3 all the way to vfp6. The PROVANTAGE catalog sells the Competitive/Version Upgrade for $229.28. The little picture of the vfp box next to the listing looks like a thin box that wouldn't have any manuals in it. The manuals were necessary for vfp3 because some things were arbitrarily excluded from Help, though I don't remember what things.

>Do I need the manuals, or is it all in the Help now? Should I expect the manuals to come with it, or will I have to buy them from Microsoft Press (I have seen them in stores published by them; it figures) or should I buy from another source in order to get the manuals without paying a lot more? Or is there some "what's new" manual which makes a comprehensive addendum to earlier versions, possibly even helping those of us who skipped vfp5?

>Some say that only wimps read manuals, but I'm not proud.
