Read this http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~MVPProgramOct99Turmoil~Wiki

As you do, keep in mind that EVERY MVP I talked to said, "We don't care. We'll still help the community"

I don't speak at events, write books, write my column, or do forum support because of what Microsoft may or may not award. I do it because I care about the community.

If it was marketing, the MVP program would be run by the Microsoft marketing department. It is not. It's run by customer support.

>Dependent as long as one want to keep the state. MVP is by definition a (MostValuable, badly Paid) voice of MS.
>snip
>.., Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award is given to "exceptional, independent community leaders who share their passion, technical expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with others."

>This is marketing, nothing else. MS is a business, it is just on Dollars. They give nothing for free. You are Most Valuable because you do the marketing better then the MS people can do - and for peanuts. To be MVP itself names one a believer.
>
>My POV. You can not convince me. But, again, this is only in your advertisement of MS products.
>I do not like to convince you. You make - beeing a MVP - your POV clear to me, so I think it's only fair to let you know mine. :)

>I like to stop it here. It would go down to basic believes.

>Let's go to business, and hope Michel can solve the problem.

>>You also misunderstand what an MVP is. We are independent voices. We are vocal in pointing out where Microsoft goes wrong. But also praising what it does right. I have complained about plenty that Microsoft does wrong.
>>
>>
>>>Beg your pardon. I value your voice on every technical aspect, but not if it comes to the priority of MS products. You are MS MVP.
>>>
>>>For the FF IE stat: Apologies. My state was wrong as you pointed out. Normaly search is within the last year, so I have not checked the year just targeted the table,
>>>
>>>For the NSA we disagree. I think they act like a big backup - I only need to figure out how to restore. I even would pay them the service. ;)
>>>
>>>At least we agree on Chrome. :) The only problem on google is where to find a good competitor that runs on a payed base and does not spy on you.
