And then "Access" came out ( read "fuc***g" nightmare ) and I had to reeducate all the accountants to "please ask me if you want a database" all over again , maybe I'm getting jaded but I've just started work after an eighteen month break, for a software house and they are seriously into CRM'S ( for f**** sake ) freedom etc...

I felt the same way about Access but managed to stay away from it almost entirely - although I knew a couple of people who made a living cobbling together solutions with it. I guess that since it's still around it has its place - personally I'd forgotten that it still existed :-}
