Mike, I'm actually amazed. JR's tone with Mike Beane up here has always been one of gently placating/assuaging, and you're characterizing JR as being self-righteous on the subject. JR isn't telling Mike Beane (or anyone else) to live like a choir boy. But there's nothing wrong with having some expectations of one's self and others.
On the topic of feeling down - drinking won't solve it. It just moves the goalposts/alters reality temporarily.
