Exactly. When you think about it however, what does the traditional primary care MD do besides give flu shots, prescribe antibiotics and shill expensive meds for big pharma?
For anything else, you're referred to a fee-splitting specialist anyway.
My toenail-clipper-in-chief is a podiatrist referred by my primary MD, who doesn't possess the skill level of Asian immigrant women who clip toenails for minimum wage so he had to refer me to a "trained specialist."
He actually referred me to an ear specialist to have my earwax removed.
A nurse at the walk in place does it at a fraction of the cost and I'm out of there in 20 minutes.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
