I would not say Obama's victory over MItt was a slam dunk. Up until a few weeks before the election, the Obama camp was rather nervous.

I was never a big Mitt fan. He was a weak candidate. But keep in mind that ACA had not gone into any significant implementation. And Romney shot himself in the foot with the 47% gaffe.

It is always easy to say, "had the election been held on such and such a date".....but I stand firm that had the 2012 election occurred a year later....or if people knew in Nov 2012 knew what they'd learn one calendar year later, Romney would have prevailed. By that point you had a badly failed rollout, evidence of administration and DNC collusion with the IRS, evidence of administration collusion on the bogus explanation of the Benghazi attack, etc. This administration was badly, badly exposed one year after the election.
