I think its a shame with the number of digital feeds that channels can use that big sports events can't be broadcast with a no commentary sound. Just a mike to get ambient sound so you hear what you might hear if you where in the ground. Clive James (a tv critic in the UK) used to refer to most commentary as TV for the blind.
