You're imagining yourself but with no money. I bit like a politician who says they'll live on minimum wage for a week to show how "easy" it is. Try living at the bottom of the pile for a few years with your wife and daughter and see if it alters your character at all.

I lived at the bottom of the pile for over a decade and it did not lead me into a life of crime. It just made me work harder so that I would no longer be at the bottom of the pile...
